TekChat Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, creating an account on, or using TekChat (the "App", the "Service"), you confirm that you have read and understood these Terms of Use (the "Terms") and the separate Privacy Policy, and that you agree to be bound by them. If you do not accept them, do not use the App and delete your account.

2. Eligibility and Age Limit

TekChat is for users aged 18 and over only. Your date of birth is requested at sign-up; accounts found to belong to, or reasonably suspected of belonging to, someone under 18 may be restricted, suspended or permanently closed without notice.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide at sign-up and for the security of your account (including not sharing your password with anyone). You may be held responsible for all activity carried out through your account. Each user may open only one account; creating a new account to avoid a ban or restriction (multi-accounting / ban evasion) is a breach of these Terms.

4. Community Rules

By using TekChat you agree to abide by the following rules:

• Insults, threats, bullying, hate speech, harassment and discriminatory behaviour are prohibited.
• Sexual content, obscene material and any content targeting or exploiting minors is strictly prohibited and met with zero tolerance (see Section 5 — Child Safety).
• Sharing other people's personal data — such as phone numbers, addresses or ID details — without their consent is prohibited.
• Spam, advertising, attempted fraud and messaging intended to redirect users off the app are prohibited.
• Any technical attempt to manipulate or abuse the systems (matching, coins/Gold, gift codes, friends, game rooms) is prohibited.
• If you encounter something disturbing, leave the call or room and report the user with the in-app "Report" feature.

5. Child Safety

TekChat applies a zero tolerance policy towards the sexual abuse and exploitation of children (including CSAM). Suspected content or behaviour of this kind can be reported through the in-app reporting mechanism or to tekchatapp@gmail.com. Confirmed violations lead to permanent account closure without prior notice and, where necessary, a report to the competent authorities. See our child safety page for details.

6. Voice and Text Rooms, User Content

You are responsible for the voice and text content you share in rooms; TekChat does not endorse or guarantee that content. Voice calls are not recorded on our servers (see the Privacy Policy), but it is technically possible for other users to make screen or audio recordings on their own devices, which is outside TekChat's control — bear this in mind when sharing sensitive information. In multi-person game rooms such as the "Red Seat", anything a user says can be heard by the other participants present in the room at that time.

7. Content Licence

You retain ownership of the content you share. You grant TekChat the right to host and process your content solely in order to provide, operate and secure the Service (e.g. delivering messages to the other party, carrying out moderation review). This licence does not extend to any use beyond providing the Service (e.g. use in advertising).

8. VIP Subscription

TekChat offers weekly or monthly VIP subscription plans (price and scope are shown in the app / on Google Play at the moment of purchase).

• Unless you cancel, subscriptions renew automatically at the end of the period you selected.
• Charges are billed to your Google Play account; all payment and billing operations are subject to Google Play's own terms, and TekChat is not a direct payment provider.
• You can cancel your subscription at any time under Google Play > Subscriptions; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and the fee for that period is not refunded.
• VIP benefits (2x match duration, gender filter, unlimited friends, etc.) are listed in the app and may be changed or updated over time.

9. Gold (Virtual Currency) and Store

"Gold" is a virtual unit that only grants access to in-app features (such as frames, themes, room backgrounds and friend request allowances).

• Gold has no real-money value; it cannot be converted to cash, transferred to another account, or sold or exchanged outside the app.
• Gold purchases are one-off (consumable) purchases made through Google Play; digital content that has been used or consumed is non-refundable except where mandatory consumer law requires otherwise.
• If exploit-hunting, cheating or abuse aimed at manipulating the Gold or store system is detected, your balance may be reset and your account suspended or closed; no refund is given in that case.

10. Gift Codes

TekChat may occasionally distribute promotional gift codes (e.g. as part of social media campaigns). These codes may have limited redemptions, may expire, and may be cancelled without prior notice; they have no cash value and cannot be sold or transferred.

11. Suspension, Bans and Appeals

On the grounds of a breach of these Terms or the Community Rules, a report, or safety concerns, we may — at our discretion and without prior notice — suspend your account temporarily or permanently, restrict your access to certain features, or remove your content. You can appeal an enforcement action using the in-app appeal form or via tekchatapp@gmail.com; we will review your application and, at our discretion, uphold, modify or lift our decision. Except where required by law, we are not liable for losses or interruptions caused by enforcement actions (including VIP/Gold — where no abuse is found, reasonable compensation for the remaining period may be considered).

12. Changes to the Service

We may change, update, temporarily suspend or discontinue all or part of the Service (including features, room types and pricing) at any time. Where reasonable, we will give advance notice.

13. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, and state that we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of profit or data, arising from use of the Service. TekChat cannot be held responsible for the conduct of other users or the content they share.

14. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify TekChat and its officers against claims brought by third parties arising from your content, your use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms or applicable law.

15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. Without prejudice to mandatory provisions of consumer law, disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the consumer courts or arbitration committees at the user's place of residence or as prescribed by the applicable legislation.

16. Miscellaneous

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid, the remaining provisions stay in force (severability). Our failure to enforce a provision does not constitute a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent; we may assign them at any time.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. For significant changes we will notify you in the app or via our website; continuing to use the Service after the changes means you accept the updated Terms.
