How does VIP work?
All payment and subscription operations are handled with Google Play's protection.
Plans and Pricing
TekChat offers weekly or monthly VIP subscription plans. Because the exact price can vary by country and applicable taxes, it is shown at the moment of purchase through Google Play — either in the app or by tapping the "Go VIP" button on this page.
Auto-Renewal
Unless you cancel, subscriptions renew automatically at the end of the period you chose (weekly/monthly). The charge is taken from the payment method on your Google Play account; TekChat never has access to your card details.
Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time on your phone under Google Play > Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — the fee you paid for that period is not refunded, but you keep using your VIP perks until the period ends.

How do I buy VIP?
Just open the VIP tab in the app and tap "Go VIP", or use the "Go VIP on Google Play" button on this page. The weekly/monthly plan is chosen through Google Play.
Can I cancel VIP at any time?
Yes. You can cancel any time under Google Play > Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period; until then your VIP perks continue.
Can my friends see that I'm VIP?
Yes — your VIP-only profile frame and message bubble theme are visible to other users; that's part of the Visibility/Prestige perks.
How exactly does the gender filter work?
VIP members can choose the gender they want (female or male) when searching for a match; this is limited to 10 uses per day. Standard members do not have this filter.
Is my payment information safe?
Yes. All payments are processed by Google Play; TekChat never sees or stores your card number or any other payment details.
Can I use the app without VIP?
Absolutely. TekChat's core features (chat rooms, Red Seat, friends, Gold/store) are completely free to use without VIP. VIP just adds optional extra perks.
